If you want to log out while keeping your account on your phone, then you will need the Google site. Open it, log in with the account that is used on the phone, and go to the “My Account” section.
From the Security & Login menu, select Device Activity & Account Security. Click View Connected Devices.
Decide the gadget you wish to sign out of your account. Click “Close access” and confirm the ban.
Once banned, your device will display a warning that your Google account is not active. To log in again, you must enter a password.
You can log out of your account remotely. The main thing is that the computer or other device is online. If you want another person to be unable to log in with the old password, change it through the same “My Account” section. In the “Security and Login” menu, select “Login to Account” and click on “Password.”
Enter the old password, and create and confirm a new security key. Now no one can log into your account without your knowledge.
If you want to remove any mention of an account from your phone settings, delete your account. Open the settings and go to the “Accounts” section. Select the Google account you want to get rid of.
Make sure important data sync is enabled. This will store the information on Google’s servers so that you can access it from another device. Call the additional menu and click “Delete account.”
The account will be deleted from the phone but will remain available on the devices where you were authorized under it. To completely remove it, you need to perform other steps.
If you need to sign out of your Google account to sell your phone or tablet, then to completely clear the device of your personal data, use a factory reset. It can be done using standard Android tools.
Navigate to “Backup and reset” under settings.”. Select Reset Settings. See what data will be erased and confirm the operation.
Information is erased only from internal memory. If you have synchronized data, it will remain available from other devices on which you are authorized through your Google account.
Leaving your Google account: Steps to Take without accessing your device
This is the fastest and easiest way. If you’ve signed in to your Google Account on one or more devices that you no longer have access to, delete your data remotely.
The data will be deleted only from the device you have selected. If necessary, repeat the steps with other devices and browsers.
If something goes wrong, try the second option. Follow the link to “Security Check.” There will be a similar list of devices with the option to remove them.
The best way to log out of your Google account on a computer
The previous method is suitable for most situations, and you can disable the Google account on the computer where you are working right now.
You’ve signed out of your Google account and only paused syncing in the browser where you were doing the steps.
Please note that if the password is saved on the device and you do not have two-factor authentication, then by reloading the page and clicking “Login,” you or an outside user will easily gain access to the account. As additional protection, we recommend that you delete all passwords saved on someone else’s.
How to exit your Google account from Android
Strictly speaking, the method described in the first paragraph allows you to remotely disable device synchronization with your Google account – if the smartphone was lost or transferred to someone.
But, if necessary (for example, Google does not allow you to enter the settings through the browser and requires a password), you can disable your account directly on your smartphone.
To do this, head to the settings of your Android device. Usually, somewhere at the bottom of the list, there is an item called “Users and accounts” or something like that.
